Waxing through the Fall

Let's be real, sister. I know so many of you are rejoicing for the cooler temperatures, sweaters, hoodies, and jeans with boots. You're probably even thinking I can ditch the razor for the next 5 months and not shave your legs or maybe even underarms.

Well, lean in here because I'm going to share with you reasons why you should definitely book an appointment to get waxed! Waxing through the colder months is the best time to get on a routine. Consistently waxing will have your hair regrowth coming in slower, thinner, and in some places none at all.

Let's face it we have lots of options when it comes to hair removal from shaving, sugaring, waxing to laser. I'm not saying one type of hair removal is better than the other. Though when you're looking into hair removal, it's good to make a decision on what end result and how often you want to do it.

This month we'll dig into the different types of hair removal options but for now here are my top 5 reasons why you should wax through the Fall!

  1. Say good-bye to razor burn 👋🏽 No one likes the look or feel of razor burn with waxing those days shaving days are a thing of the past!

  2. Silky smooth skin. Who doesn't love having smooth skin with no stubble? 💁🏽‍♀️

  3. Slow regrowth. Yes! This one is my favorite. I absolutely love the idea of having hair grow in slower.

  4. No itchiness. Say good-bye to awkward itchiness when it comes to waxing hair regrows in softer and definitely without the itch.

  5. Less time in the shower. We are busy people and who has time to spend shaving in the shower every day? Ditch that razor and book that wax appointment, girlfriend!

All October I’m having a waxing event - every Brazilian will receive a complimentary underarm wax. You can book your appointment here!

See you next week as we continue this series of waxing.

xoxo,
Gisel

Top 3 Spring Tips

Spring is the perfect time to reevaluate your skin care routine and products.  Here are some tips when it comes to these products.

Top 3 Skin Tips:

  1. Add An Eye Cream - The sun is shining more and that means squinting unless you're very faithful at wearing your sunglasses. The repeated movement of squinting leads to fine lines and wrinkles around the delicate eye area.  Look for an eye cream that is high in antioxidants and peptides. My recommendation is iS Clinical - Youth Eye Complex. It provides great hydration along with soothing and brightening.
  2. Apply Sunscreen - Spring is a high risk time for sunburns since we've been bundled up all winter with heavy coats, our skin hasn't seen much sunshine. Now is a great time to get reacquainted with your SPF. This not only means on your body but especially on your face and ears. Apply in the morning and before any outdoor activities. My recommendation is Image Skincare SPF 50
  3. Exercise - This is my favorite skin care tip I love sharing! Exercising provides so many benefits to your skin. When you exercise, this promotes blood circulation providing oxygen and nutrients to your skin cells. Stress often takes a toll on our skin causing problems like  acne flares. Studies have shown that exercising reduces stress and when done regularly, it can help improve these conditions. If you have rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis note that too much vigorous exercise can worsen these conditions.

Spring is the perfect time to change up your skin routine by adding an eye cream, wearing sunscreen, and exercising more.

Bonus Tip: Ditch your heavy moisturizer in the warmer months and replace your mascara and facial sponges.
